The Reconnect & Move Forward Method
A practical guide to stop postponing your career change and start deciding from steady ground instead of fear.
Marta Horrach. Humanistic therapist. Nearly twenty years supporting people through change — first as a nurse, then as a therapist. Creator of the Reconnect & Move Forward Method. She works out of Accura Espai, in Spain.
Why I wrote it myself
It isn’t information they’re short of. Most of them arrive with more training than they need: courses, books, personal work, sometimes years of therapy. They can name what’s happening to them better than a lot of professionals can. And they are still exactly where they were.

I started out as a nurse. I learned something there I’ve never forgotten: the body runs ahead of the mind, and when the body is on alert, the mind can only see risk. Later I trained as a humanistic therapist and spent close to twenty years accompanying people through change. Over all those years the same pattern repeated so often that I ended up giving it a name.
That pattern is what I work with in the Reconnect & Move Forward Method — Método Reconecta y Avanza®, as it’s registered in Spanish — and it’s what this guide is made of: the distance between knowing what you want and letting yourself do it. You don’t close that distance with more curriculum. You close it by writing, by deciding with criteria that are actually yours, and by taking a step small enough that you can hold it.
I wrote it so you could do this on your own, at your own pace, without ever having to speak to me. Everything you need is inside it.
Before you pay anything
Not a teaser and not a summary. Chapters 1 and 2 in full, with both exercises, both checklists, and their questions. Seventeen pages.
I do it this way because I don’t want you buying blind. Read them, do the first one, and decide for yourself whether the rest is worth it to you.

Chapters 1 and 2 in full · 17 pages · PDF
What you walk away with
Not three feelings. Three things that exist on paper and that you can reread on the day you doubt yourself.
Written in a single sentence, with a review date next to it. Not a list of options you leave open again next Sunday.
Sized so you’ll actually take it, put in the calendar, with the opening line already written so you don’t have to improvise it.
Because the fear comes back. Written before it does, while you can still think clearly, and signed by you.

Part II · From Paralysis to Direction
Part III · From Resistance to Action
How it’s built
And the exercises are chained: the permission you sign in chapter 1 comes back in chapter 8.
Where this shows up in your actual life, on a Sunday night.
What almost all of us do here, and why it makes sense that we do.
The honest explanation, no jargon and no clinical labels.
The practical part, in concrete moves.
Ten to twenty minutes, with a pen. The one part you can’t skip.
To confirm you’ve done it, not that you’ve understood it.
The ones you’ll be asking at exactly that point, answered straight.
A single line. No sugar.
What you’d be asking
It is, if you measure it by the format. It’s 58 pages and eight exercises that I use in one-to-one sessions, and that work is what you’re paying for — not the file. That’s also why the first two chapters are free: so you can judge the work before you pay for it, instead of taking my word for it. If after reading them you don’t think the rest is worth it, don’t buy it.
That’s exactly why the first two chapters are free: twenty minutes tells you whether this one ends up in that folder. And it’s why every chapter ends with an exercise and a checklist. A PDF that asks nothing of you gets filed; one that asks you to fill a page either gets done or gets closed. Both answers are useful information.
The plan at the end is built for precisely that: fifteen to thirty minutes a day for fourteen days, one thing per day, with lighter weekends. You don’t need a free afternoon. You need a fixed slot.
It’s a different thing, not a better version. Therapy works on the why. Here you work on what you do with it, when, and what you do on the day the fear comes back. You can understand your own pattern perfectly and still not move.
The direction you’re going to write has a review date next to it. It’s not a sentence, it’s a working hypothesis with a deadline. Chapter 6 is about exactly that: deciding in a way that makes correcting cheap.
Not for the guide. It’s written in English and there’s nothing in it that depends on where you live — no local systems, no local paperwork. You do it on your own, wherever you are.
As a PDF, by email, right after you pay. One payment of $49.95. It’s yours to keep and you can print it — in fact it works better printed, because you have to write on it.

If you buy it, read it, and find it wasn’t for you, write to me within 14 days and I’ll refund the $49.95 without asking for an explanation. I’d rather do that than have you keep something that doesn’t serve you.
Still not sure? Read the first two chapters. They’re free, and they’re complete.
What this guide is not. It is professional support, not therapy and not clinical treatment. It diagnoses nothing and does not replace a health professional. It promises no career, financial, health, or emotional outcome: it promises a method for deciding, and a place to write it down.
If what you’re going through is overwhelming you in a sustained way, that calls for proper professional care, and this guide doesn’t cover it.
